Text Box: Craig Plumbing Company

Text Box: About us

Text Box: Craig Plumbing Company was founded in 1973 by Terry Craig, the outstanding graduate of the Pipe Trades Training Center 1964.  Top quality and innovative designs were the hallmarks of this firm until Mr. Craig’s passing in 1999.  Thomas D. Fisher, also an outstanding graduate of The Pipe Trades Training Center, 1974, assumed ownership of the firm in 2000 and continues to direct the company today.
The original quality commitment has been enhanced with an employee education program that starts with apprenticeship training and continues with journeyman advanced education.  Subjects such as blue print reading, isometric drawing and system design augment the implementation of the Uniform Plumbing Code.  Courses in compatibility of materials, customer relations and job site safety provide a knowledgeable workforce that is compatible with customer demands during these litigious times.
Of course, hands on skills are developed to near perfection and proven by continual testing.  Typically, a project consisting of 3,000 to 4,000 feet of water, gas, waste and vent piping has a zero leak rate.
The extra attention to detail, quality supervision and above all, employee pride make this level of quality possible.
Our motto, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweet taste of low price has disappeared” has proven to be more than witty words time and time again.  Our clients tell us, “You are not cheap, but you never fail an inspection, never miss a dead line and there are no call backs.  Craig Plumbing makes us money”
In addition to quality plumbing installations, Craig Plumbing Company has extensive experience in failure analysis, professional witness services and project consulting.  These duties are within the scope of the current owner, Thomas D. Fisher.  Mr. Fisher has in excess of forty years experience in the piping industry.  In addition to positions as the Mechanical Superintendent of the Collider Experimentation Hall Project; Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC), Project Manager Terminal A and Central Mechanical Plant at San Jose International Airport and Director of Technology, Ethics and Training at Purity Systems Inc., a high technology consulting and testing firm, he has been a  consultant to the University of California Berkeley; Labor Occupational Health Program (LOHP) and the Curriculum Coordinator of the Pipe Trades Training Center.  The development the first health and safety program for piping industry members exposed to the unique hazards of the Semiconductor Industry and advisory experience on the development of the Toxic Gas Ordinance (TGO) further broaden the experience base.
The overriding principal that guides Craig Plumbing Company is what is known as “The Golden Rule”.
We treat others as we would have others treat us.  Quality, honesty and integrity were uncompromised by the founder, Terry Craig, and this standard is held high today.
